Find-A-PC Service Closure
At the beginning of April, the Find-A-PC service will be permanently retired.
Usage of the service has steadily declined over the past few years. This reflects wider changes across the university, where most desktop PCs have been replaced with flexible study spaces designed for personal and library-loaned laptops. As a result, the need for Find-A-PC has significantly reduced.
Retiring the service will also reduce ongoing maintenance overhead, allowing us to focus our efforts on developing and improving other digital services, including new functionality within the UniLincoln App.
We recognise that some students have used Find-A-PC to gauge how busy the library is via occupancy data. If this is something you value, we encourage you to share your feedback through the Student Survey.
